In one of my classes, we watched a video regarding climate change and its effect on the world. Most of the world's problems lies within political conflicts and climate problems. And guess who's to blame for that...  US. ALL of us!

I wanted to point out two things that never really kicked in before. As I was sitting there watching David Suzuki, intrigued by what's happening and how much our actions affect everything... EVERYTHING... I started to feel very very sad and depressed. There was this part about the drought in Sudan. People were starving so bad and when the food supplies came, they went crazy n started grabbing anything and everything. Whoever couldn't get some or whatever fell on the ground... they started picking up these tiny little grains of some sort. If u want a visual, think of birds peckin food off the ground. There were little children, scrambling for food and individually picking grain or corn somethin... oh my heart! So here's where there hasn't been any  sort of precipitation for a very long time and no water for any food. Understandable, u need water for many things... survival.

The second place was Bangladesh. I dunno what those ppl did to deserve all that hardship. Here, flooding is the major problem for the people. During one of the major floods the country faced, food was scarce. SEe? Doesn't matter if u have water, u still dun have food! So... the aid people were handing out roti. Just picked up a bunch and started handing them out. People went crazy here too... they weren't there cos it's free. They were there becos they were hungry... water water everywhere, not a drop to eat. [cries] And it wasn't like one person was there to pick up three or four rotis. Each person struggled to catch atleast one.. one is enough to calm the hungry belly. Then I saw these little kids eating them ... sniffle.

On a typical day of my life, I can't go without drinking water every hour or snacking on something every couple of hours. I get hungry and thirsty. My stomach starts growling. I can feel the gastric juices eating away in my stomach when I don't eat for 3-4hours. If me, living in a developed nation is spoiled like this.. imagine what tolerance a child from a developed, food stripped country must have! I have admiration for those people who don't know when they'll eat again. I'm sure in such a situation, i'll be the first to die. They are unbelievable souls wit strong hearts and minds.

And you know what's really angering and depressing??? WE HAVE ENOUGH FOOD TO FEED THE ENTIRE 6 BILLION PEOPLE!!! WE HAVEEEEEEEEEEE!! It's a matter of equal distribution. If only it worked like that. DId u know that food establishments here have this rule they have to follow which prohibits them from giving away the remaining food after they're closed? So what are they supposed to do with this food that's not even stale or rotten ? They have to dump it. THROW GOOD FOOD AWAY. haha, just imagine wut a person from that drought place would do to whoever passed such a stupid rule... THere's one thing abt hygiene. And I also understand about lawsuits and such if someone who ate that food got sick. That's in this country. still. . i think it's totally ridiculous.

I worked for a couple of food places and the first one had strict rules about employees eating the food or taking it home. Whatever was left at the end of the night was dumped in this big organic dumpster.Everytime I went to throw food there I personally felt guilty for doing so. The second place wasn't so bad. THe managers encouraged staff to take home as much food as they can so they don't have to throw lot away.

Karma plays here too... I dunno exactly how but it does and it will.

u can't have 2 extremes- absolutely no water and have lots and lots of water enough to sink ur house. As the climate changes all over the world due to our increased emissions in the developed countries, natural disasters are becoming more and more extreme. If a tornado touches earth, it's more disastrous than a decade ago let's say. And it's not solely the climate. WE are changing how weather works. WE are changing the composition of things in the atmosphere and how they interact with each other.

I am really sad n angry... angry at God, angry at the nations, angry at myself... and sad too... sad that not everyone can enjoy life :(

One day, a person smiled at me who usually just walks by me. I had my face in this serious unfriendly expression that his smile took me by surprise and I cudn't smile in that few seconds that we crossed each other. I felt bad afterwards. I've been told many time that I have this angry face most of the time.I'm tellin u it's my big eyes. They're not googly. They're mean lookin.

Walking away I thought... it wud've been easier if my expression was lighter and if i was smiling a bit. NOt a full blown smile but soft eyes n lips wit a small upper curve.Nothin too obvious. See i also thought, if you're thinking somethin horrible while walkin somewhere, u tend to show it on ur face becos that's how we work mostly. Whatever u think u tend to show it out by an expression on ur face. Therefore, in those short moments when ur walking somewhere, I think I would rather think about the good thing sin life which will put a light smile on my face just in case someone walks by for a second and u gotta react wit a smile in that second.

Toronto scored poorly on a stranger-friendly test done across Canada. I am going to try to be one of those who change the bad statistics that Toronto has.

I got to thinking and something occurred. A staple to have in a car is a camera. A low value or secondhand camera in case your car gets stolen. If one was in a collision, god forbid, it's a good thing to have becos let's say:
You: Im callin the police (Cos u gotta). I know it's your fault.

Stranger: Well why don't we exchange numbers and car info becos I don't have time and plus it's not that big of a dent.

You: Uh... but I shud call the police.they'll will be here shortly. U should stick around.

Stranger: You don't necessarily have to have a police, I know it's my fault.

Let's say u agree and when u go to report the accident to get their insurance to pay for ur car, they might change their story. U never know.

So:

You:Oh u can't wait? Hold on 2minutes then. I won't be long. I'll just take a few pictures of the dent and how our cars are placed right now along wit ur license plate. And a picture of you wit ur car.THen you're free to leave! That way we rule out any conflicts later on.

See? I think that's a very good idea. Unless someone already thought of this, did this and it ended up bad. Let me know.

I have heard of so many situations where the driver changed seats wit the passenger or the driver sayin they'll pay n change their story.

The mean invigilator from my quiz couple of weeks ago.. is my professor!oh goodness gracious! U know what though, she's a good professor. I guess when it comes to tests, she's gotta be firm. She's  very good with her lectures.

hahaha i just read what I wrote. It's soooooo does not make any sense. There're fragments everywhere! Guess what people- that's exactly how I think! Hehehhe. I never think in full sentences. Tsk tsk.. no wonder ppl hate readin my essays. it's 2:30am. I figured out Calculus on my own! YIPPEEE. Now I better do those problems and get the same answers.

A little determination can go a long way I noticed. I should put up my so-called horoscope thingy. I dunno what they call it in English. Sorta tells u bits of ur future. Heheh be fun to see what comes true. Keep in mind it's the Hindu Astrology not the Western kind. It's different although on the surface it may appear to be alike.

Today was such a strange day for me. I know I have a lot to do but as usual I keep putting it off. I'm scared. I don't want to mess this up.It's Calculus and it's out to get me. I was soo confident in the summer time. That professor was the best.

I'm in a pensive mood. I watched, "the Holier it gets" on Vision TV. This woman and her siblings take their father's ashes to places he wanted to go and finally let him go in a tributary of river Ganga. Their dad's Indian, mom's Jewish I think. Really interesting. They had this whole thing planned out but nothing went according to plan. It's like something else controlled it and they finally realized that. I never saw the Ganges like I saw on this documentary. It's huge and the speed is unbelievable.

I'm pretty much worried about my Math more than anything else. It decides in a major way whether I can go forward or not. When I'm scared, i avoid that particular thing and that's what i'm doing here. Plus the cold season always reminds me of certain things. I go into this state when I'm reminded of them. It's not sadness or happiness. Not anger or regret. I don't know. baaaah.It's 11pm.time to crack open my brain and stuff it with something good!

Oh my weakness!!! Almond croissant. Curse on Timothy's for selling medium sized ones for 1.75$!!!! THat's outrageous! When I say medium, those things fit in the palm of ur hand. geeeeeeeeeeeez

So I trod to Second Cup and nope, those ppl dun think twice of my wellbeing. NO ALMOND CROISSANT there! waaaaaaaaaaa Oh well.NExt trip to Yorkdale I'm stocking up!

Oh How I wish one has the choice of fast fowarding to the future [okay this friggin thing is slow - i'm typin n it's not displaying!]. Well I just want to see what's gonna happen so i don't have to keep thinking about it. I can plan for it. LoL makes no sense. That's my head right now. I watched KILL BILL 2 n boy was that a weirdly good movie.

I want to call my pal n talk to my pal. Catch up and hang out. I really want to but I'm afraid I'll screw things up. Cos I think I screwed it up. I emailed but got no reply. Hoping to bump into "pal" but I doubt it'll happen amongst 40,000 people. I think my gals were wrong in thinkin there was somethin more than a pal. I miss the pal. Someone I finally clicked who wasn't one of my gals. But then again, some things did creep me out.

Sometimes the right thing doesn't always feel good but u have to do the right thing. I think so anyway. And most of the times I don't like the right path that  I go back to the wrong one and it blows up in my face. SO this time, my pal will have to just suffice to an email from me. I won't pursue any further. If we were meant to be friends, we will be, no matter what. OOooh I really hope it turns out good cos I cud use a break at school every now and then. I day dream too much. Stop it bear!
